Havelock Square Studio Suites

The Havelock Square Studio Suites are situated in a most attractive, historic, tree-lined square in the centre of Port Elizabeth. On the Donkin heritage trail, it is 5 minutes’ walk to the Central Business District, restaurants, shops and St Georges Park and 10 minutes drive to the airport, beaches, hospitals and industry.

This charming Victorian house with large rooms, high ceilings and many original features has been renovated to a very high standard and offers a wide range of choice of accommodation. An excellent venue for a one night stay or for longer visits of up to a month.

For the visitor, Port Elizabeth offers a wonderful geography of unspoiled beaches, coastal rocky walks, mountains, river gorges and estuaries, sand dunes and traditional bush veld. Within two hours drive we have an outstanding opportunity for malaria-free game viewing, as well as an array of easily accessible ‘African encounter’ experiences. For watching or playing sport, entertainment, dining and shopping the city offers every modern choice. And today there is a wide range of world-class specialist medical services in Port Elizabeth, for the growing medi-tourism industry.

Studio Suites

Each Studio Suite features a spacious bedroom with seating area, self-catering kitchenette for two, brand new shower or bath with shower room en suite, ceiling fan and heating, new queen or twin beds, linen and towels, DSTV, an electronic safe and a hairdryer. Plus use of Iburst Wireless Internet access, lounge, patio, braai and plunge pool area.

Guests have a choice of independent entrances with security gates, a suite with a private sitting room, or an eat in kitchen, a balcony, a fireplace, a patio, use of a secure garage and of course a full South African breakfast (if they wish).

Ground Floor Suites

Sir Rufane Suite: A spacious and luxurious suite. 50sqm. Separate sitting room. Independent entrance. Queen bed. Gas fireplace. Shower room. Kitchenette.

Donkin Suite: Our budget suite. 21sqm. Independent entrance. Private patio with barbeque facilities. Queen bed. Shower room. Kitchenette.

First Floor Suites (All suites use the front door entrance.)

Lady Elizabeth Suite: A spacious and luxurious suite. 42sqm. Large private balcony. Twin beds with a glimpse of the sea. Shower room. Study or third bed area.

York Suite: The morning sun suite with a glimpse of the sea. 21sqm. Queen Bed. Separate eat-in kitchen. Shower room.

Victoria Suite: Spacious suite. Queen bed. Bathroom with shower & separate toilet. Separate kitchenette.

Our resident manager will arrange accommodation to suit your needs, daily cleaning, make bookings and offer local advice. Personal laundry and pressing, food shopping at extra cost.

Directions to Millbrook House from the airport:

Exiting the airport, turn left and proceed until the Heugh Rd intersection. Turn right into Heugh Rd and drive all the way down towards the harbour. At the last robots at the bottom of Heugh Rd(now Walmer Boulevard) turn onto the freeway (M4) Proceed until you see the Russell Rd off-ramp and turn up into Russell Rd. Turn left at the first set of robots in Russell Rd, into Lawrence str. Continue up Lawrence until you see a brown signboard-Millbrook B&B- and turn left into Havelock square. Continue until you find Havelock Suites/Millbrook House. Reception is at No.2 Havelock Square.
