The lodge is run by the owners, who offer their guests personal attention and endeavour to make their stay a memorable one.The great location of this Lodge offers ample opportunities to explore the nature reserves, hike in the mountains, visit local museums, or tour the coffee, tea, and cotton plantations. View the artefacts of pottery, beads, and pole carvings found at the nearby Tzaneen Dam, go fly fishing on a local river, and feed a crocodile at the Agatha Crocodile Ranch, just 1.5 kilometers away.

This Country Lodge offers 40 standard double rooms along with 4 suites, all finished with hand crafted mahogany. Two swimming pools located in the midst of lush, tropical gardens where you can float in paradise while admiring a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. A warm and inviting lounge area is ideal for reading a book, relaxing with a drink from the bar, or playing a board game. Watch some television in the TV lounge before heading over to the restaurant for an a la carte meal in the dining room with magnificent views.

The Kruger National Park is a mere hour’s drive from Mashutti, making it an ideal stop over.

Accommodation
We provide clean, stylish and spacious accommodation; our friendly team are there for you to assist you in anything to make your stay a more comfortable and relaxing one. Stay for a night stopover or a relaxing holiday, whether it is for bed and breakfast or as a Guest house our lodging can meet your requirements. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served daily in our Full a la carte restaurant with a selection of both traditional and homemade meals. A comprehensive range of South African wines plus a fully licensed bar are available.

Standard Room -Each room has an en suite bathroom (bathroom amenities and towels supplied). Floors are tiled and facilities include TV, Ceiling fan, Cane Suite and Tea & Coffee facilities. All having a private balcony and overlooking our dam and tropical surroundings.

Superior Room With View - Room is air-conditioned with a private balcony/patio garden facing with breathtaking views of Tzaneen and the surrounding mountains. Each room has en suite bathroom with either a bath & overhead shower or a large shower with a sitting area (bathroom amenities and towels supplied). Floor are tiled and facilities include TV, Dstv, Bar fridge, Ceiling fan, cane suite and Tea & Coffee facilities. Free Wifi is available to roam in comfort. Finishes are all done with hand crafted mahogany.

Deluxe Room - Large and spacious fully tiled unit with temperature controlled air-conditioning. Enjoy a private pool facing patio, with breath-taking views of Tzaneen and the surrounding mountains. The Kruger National Park is a mere hour’s drive from Mashutti, making it an ideal stopover on route to the magnificent Big Five safari adventures.

Tzaneen Dam is located in a scenic part of the country and is stocked with Florida strain Largemouth Bass. Fish in the 3 to 4 kg range are caught on a regular basis. The dam is a fixture on the tournament circuit being the venue for several competitions, including the annual Tzaneen Bass Classic held in June of each year. The hot summers, mild winters and water temperatures that seldom drop below 17 degrees Celsius make this a year round Bass fishing venue.

Agatha Crocodile Ranch offers adventurous daily tours through the ranch, an opportunity to touch a baby crocodile and also to feed the bigger crocodiles, a curio shop and a local art gallery. Agatha Crocodile Ranch is a complete crocodile farm that offers tours to visitors all over the world.

Sunland “Giant” Baobab tree: Carbon dating has been used to estimate the Big Baobab’s age at ± 6000 years.
