The palm fringed pool, fully licensed pool bar, restaurant all create a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Our spacious 10 bedrooms have baths, showers, extra length beds, private decks or patios and all the modern comforts. Merely an hours drive from Port Elizabeth, one and a half hours from Big Five Private Game Reserves, 150 metres from the main beach and within walking distance of quaint village shops, 18 hole golf course, restaurants, tennis and squash courts. Sandals cuisine embraces South Africas rich natural abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and shellfish. Sample imaginative local and international dishes infused with Caribbean, Spice Island, African and Indian flavours..capturing the essence of South African cuisine. We also have a large choice of carefully selected affordable wines from the heart of the wine regions of our Fairest Cape. St. Francis Bay, the pretty holiday village, lies west of Port Elizabeth, at the mouth of the Kromme River. The architecture of the place is one of its kind in South Africa with all the houses having thatch roofs except for the area at the harbour which is built in a Mediterranean style. St. Francis Bay is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts: It boasts sandy beaches and ideal conditions for surfing. In season, August to October, whales can be seen daily in the Bay of St. Francis. Many holiday homes were built at the numerous canals from where one can get to the Kromme River by boat. The Harbour is the centre of the Calamari fishing and a popular starting point for deep sea fishing trips. About 6 kilometres south of St. Francis Bay lies Cape St. Francis with its impressive lighthouse built in 1878, which is open to visitors and has a lovely coffee shop serving light meals. Also, one can have beautiful walks through the Fynbos landscape offering various trails, climb between the rocks and watch the enormous breakers in awe. Come and experience our unique atmosphere in laid-back luxury, just 50 metres from breathtaking beaches!
