Sycamore Ave Treehouse Lodge

Sycamore Avenue Treehouses are situated at Hidcote, between Mooi River and Estcourt, within sight of the Drakensberg. We have four eccentric and romantic ‘Treehouses’; all are made by hand from local woods by the ingenious sculptor Bruce Attwood.This eccentic accommodation is famous for its romantic treehouses.

Built high into an old oak tree the Treehouse offers romantic accommodation to make memories that last. With its sunken jucuzzi built high into the tree and view of the Drakensberg you will be hard pressed to find a more romantic place anywhere in South Africa.

This unique accommodation a b&b garden suite and romantic accommodation in treehouses. Built high into an old oak tree the Treehouse offers accommodation that will bring back your childhood. Maybe that’s why its called “The House of our Seventh Childhood”. The Fantasy House on the other hand is built into a cluster of Cedar Trees with the branches hugging the structure. This is the place for exploring your fantasies. The bottle tree house is the newst in the family buit between 2 mature pin oaks featuring a large jacuzzi in the bedroom, private lounge with fireplace.

The structure has been artisticly designed using old bottles which reflect creating subtle light and a romantic atmosphere. . The bed and breakfast guesthouse offer a large spacious garden suite with its own entrance and jacuzzi spa bath. Of course what would life be like without dinner and breakfast and that’s what we are good at providing.

In our large artistically decorated candlelit dinning room with a cozy fireplace your taste buds will be pampered.

Sycamore Avenue is perfectly situated to explore South Africa ’s renown tourist route, the Midlands Meander and the Drakensberg Mountains.

Our lounge is a great place to relax before dinner, meet other guests and enjoy a cocktail. The garden provides quite privacy for gentle walks, bird watching with beautiful views of the Drakensberg mountains.

TOLL ROAD DIRECTIONS

N3 from PMB/Durban to Estcourt.
2rd off ramp after the Mooi River Plaza Toll Gate. EXIT 152 Hidcote Road.
Turn right - under the Highway towards R103. for 1Km.
Take note the road starts taking a bend, at that bend, note cream walls with the green signs.

From Mooi River Town.
Take the R103 towards Estcourt.
Pass Treverton School, pass the Plains Farm Stall.
Next road to the Left - HIDCOTE ROAD – N3 ON RAMP
Travel 3Km on the right the Cream Brick Walls with the Green Signs

N3 to PMB.
Take the Exit 152 Hidcote ramp off N3
Turn left at bottom of the off ramp for about 1.5Km on the right hand side a cream walls with the green sign – SYCAMORE AVE. GUEST HOUSE & TREEHOUSE
