Eight Bells Mountain Inn

Situated in South Africa’s picturesque Garden Route, Eight Bells Mountain Inn nestles in the Ruiterbos Valley Region at the foot of the Robinson Pass on the R328 between Mossel Bay (35kms away) and Oudtshoorn (50kms away).

Inn keepers Peter and Jean Brown acquired Eight Bells 28 years ago and together with members of their family and staff, have created a charming Inn renowned for its friendly hospitality and superb recreational facilities amidst magnificent mountain scenery. The Inn’s proximity to the green coastal scenery of the Garden Route and the timeless Little Karoo allows for easy exploration of the natural wonders, scenic mountain passes and diverse attractions that the two regions have.

Here you can feel at home in a choice of tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, family units, air-conditioned log cabins and thatched rondavels set in enchanting gardens and shared by an abundance of birdlife. Tasty teas and lunches are served on the Garden Terrace and a good wine list complements The Oak Room’s à la carte menu for dinner.

Swimming, tennis, squash, bowls, billiards, kids play-park, playroom, horse riding, walking trails and birding are all on the estate. Your gateway to explore mountain passes and the region’s many natural scenic wonders.

Accommodation at Eight Bells

Feel at home in a choice of tastefully decorated en suite bedrooms, family units, air-conditioned log cabins and thatched rondavels set in enchanting gardens, shared by an abundance of birdlife.

All rooms and log cabins are equipped with under-floor heating, a digital safe, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and television set with a bouquet of channels being SABC 2 and 3, E-TV, MNet, Super Sport 1, Super Sport 2, Movie Magic, Kyknet and Disney Channel.

The Palm Court rooms have digitally remote controlled ceiling fans, the Pool Terrace and Rose Court rooms have table fans and the Swiss Village log cabins and suite are air-conditioned.

A same-day guest laundry service is also provided 365 days a year - weather permitting.
