It’s also unique in that you could conceivably have breakfast in South Africa, lunch in Swaziland and dinner in Mozambique, all while leisurely taking in the numerous tourism attractions that the area has to offer.

The Wild Frontier is referred to as the cradle of life, owing to the archaeological discoveries dating back more than three billion years. Evidence abounds in the imposing Mkonjwa mountains, which is said to be one of the oldest in the world.Royale Marlothi Safari Lodge lies in the heart of the bush in Marloth Park, which is home to animals including giraffe, zebra, kudu, warthog, impala, wildebeest, which roam freely around the lodge and surrounding areas.

Guests are often thrilled with unbelievably close and personal encounters! For the avid birdwatcher, abundant species and wide variety of Bushveld Birds are spotted from the comfort of one’s own verandah. Most commonly seen are Hornbills, Starlings, Boubou’s, Shrikes and Woodpeckers to name but a few. The tranquil atmosphere at the Lodge allows for unique birding opportunities as man slows down, finding the rhythm of nature and begins to truly observe.

With the absence of artificial light, the stargazing at Royale Marlothi Safari Lodge is phenomenal and amongst the best in Southern Africa. How better to end a blissful day but to sit reflecting under the star studded-canopy of African skies, the vastness of infinite galaxies stretching before one. Enjoy the quiet of the African night and wake up well rested in the mornings to the sounds of nature. Here the serenity of the bush promotes deep and restful sleep. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of every-day life, you’ve just found it…
