Tautona Lodge

Tautona is situated near the Village of Ghanzi on it’s own private game reserve. Situated 700km. from Gaborone, 500km from Windhoek and 280km from Maun. Ghanzi is now accessable to all types of vehicles, one is not limited to using 4×4 since the completion of the Trans-Kalahari Highway which links Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia.

Tautona, meaning big lion in Setswana, was built in 2000 and commenced operations in May 2001. The lodge is situated on a 10 000 hectar private game farm and is approximatly 5km from the center of Ghanzi. The lodge also has two swimming pools for those hot, lazy summer days.

Why not come and visit us, and enjoy a sunset game drive, and then settle down for a sundowner, or just sit back and enjoy the relaxing effect that the Kalahari has to offer.
